Amazing Dragon Tales
Dragons are imaginary creatures that are featured in the myths of numerous cultures. The English word ‘dragon’ originally comes from the Greek word darken, meaning ‘a serpent’. Dragons are portrayed differently in different cultures. Some myths portray them with a row of dorsal spines. European dragons are more often winged, while Chinese dragons resemble large snakes. In modern times, these imaginary creatures are usually shown with a body like that of a huge lizard, or a snake with two pairs of lizard-type legs, and able to emit fire from their mouths. The European dragon has bat-type wings growing from its back. Dragon stories have always been children’s favourite. The present book, under the title ‘Dragon Tales’, is a unique collection of 27 short dragon stories.
